Service for NotebookMechanix.com

NotebookMechanix.com strives to protect customer
data. However, I understand that as the customer, I am solely responsible
for my data, including backing up all data prior to sending my notebook
to NotebookMechanix.com for repair. I understand that if I am unable to
back up the data, I will notify NotebookMechanix.com. NotebookMechanix.com
is not responsible for any software or data.
NotebookMechanix.com abides by privacy rules issued
by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services requiring the Health
Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996, HIPPA.
New, used, or refurbished parts may be used in the
repair of my notebook. All parts will have a 30 day limited warranty from
NotebookMechanix.com.
I understand NotebookMechanix.com is not responsible
for keeping or returning defective parts that are replaced as part of
the repair, unless specifically requested by me prior to sending my notebook
in for repair.
I understand some service related problems, including
viruses, spyware, adware and other software issues may not be removable
or repairable. In the event the computer's operating system may need to
be reloaded, I will include the installation discs / recovery media that
came with my computer. I understand NotebookMechanix.com is not responsible
for the functionality of any software, including Microsoft Windows, and
that NotebookMechanix.com's 100% satisfaction guarantee does not apply
to software issues.
I understand NotebookMechanix.com is not responsible
for any damage to my laptop that occurs during shipping to or from their
location. I understand that I am responsible for properly packaging and
insuring my notebook when shipping it to NotebookMechanix.com. NotebookMechanix.com
will declare a value of up to $999.00 during return shipment and if I
desire additional coverage, I am responsible for notifying NotebookMechanix.com
and covering any additional expense.
I understand that any shipping/handling charges
paid to NotebookMechanix.com are not refundable.
While most repairs fall under the “flat rate”
service offered by NotebookMechanix.com, I understand that some repairs
are not covered. Such repairs include, but are not limited to; multiple
defective parts, motherboard replacement and LCD display replacement.
In such cases, NotebookMechanix.com will notify me with a quotation of
the additional repair costs.
If I decline the additional repair(s), NotebookMechanix.com
will refund the service fee minus a $49.95 diagnostic fee, and will return
my notebook using the return service option I selected and for which I
prepaid.
I understand that some notebook computers may not
be repairable due to extensive damage or parts being unavailable. If my
notebook is found to be “unrepairable” by their service technicians,
NotebookMechanix.com will refund the service fee, and will return my notebook
using the return service option I selected and for which I prepaid.
I understand that in some cases the “2 Day
Guaranteed Turnaround” repair service may take longer than two business
days to complete. If this occurs, at the sole discretion of NotebookMechanix.com,
my return shipping option may be upgraded at no charge, OR I may receive
a refund of the difference between “2 Day” and “7 Day”
service levels.
